As the Atlantic Division race gets more and more interesting, two teams that may end up jockeying for wild card position at worst have a big game coming out of the holiday break. Both the Maple Leafs and Panthers have been playing some pretty solid hockey as of late and can do themselves a lot of good by continuing their surges heading into the New Year.Despite low goal totals, the Panthers just keep finding ways to win. Theyve won six of their last 10 and four of those victories have come via the shootout. The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, headed into the holiday break on a high note after a mini skid. A big 4-0 win over Dallas put Toronto at 7-3-0 over their last 10 games and three points back of Montreal in the Division standings.The Maple Leafs have been one of the highest-scoring teams in the NHL this year, which should give them a leg up on the young, but improving Panthers. Florida is no pushover, but this is the kind of game Toronto needs to start winning with regularity to take that next step. This looks like a good game for him to get on the score-sheet more a few times.
